REVER Worry-Free Purchase — Buyer Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
PLAIN-LANGUAGE NOTE (not part of the binding terms). These Terms govern Worry-Free Purchase, an optional add-on you may purchase at checkout. You may have seen it presented under the store's own name (for example, "[Merchant] Cover") — that is the same product described here. It bundles two benefits: Worry-Free Delivery (a refund if your order is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit) and Return Shipping (we cover the cost of your return label and the related return-handling fee). Worry-Free Purchase is an insurance-based product provided and underwritten by an external provider and underwriter and distributed to you by REVER as commercial distributor. You can cancel it within 24 hours of your order (see Section 7). To make a claim, use the REVER returns portal — not a chargeback (see Section 11). Nothing in these Terms removes the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under Spanish and EU law.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Worry-Free Purchase. By selecting, keeping, or paying for Worry-Free Purchase at checkout, or by not cancelling it within the cancellation window described in Section 7, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase Worry-Free Purchase, or cancel it within the cancellation window.
Worry-Free Purchase is optional. It is offered on a "default-enabled" basis, meaning it may be pre-selected in your cart when you check out with eligible items. You are free to remove or decline it before completing your purchase, to obtain equivalent protection elsewhere, or to proceed without it.
Consumer rights. These Terms do not affect, exclude, or limit any rights you have that cannot be waived under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence in the EU/EEA or the UK, including, where applicable, the Spanish consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007). Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with such mandatory rights, those rights prevail.
1. WHO WE ARE AND WHO PROVIDES THE COVER
REVER (the commercial distributor and your point of contact). Worry-Free Purchase is made available and distributed to you by HERMONT RTU INC., Sucursal en España, S.L. ("REVER", "we", "us", "our"), with offices at C/ Indústria 58, 08025 Barcelona, Spain, Spanish tax ID (CIF) B09621103. REVER operates a post-purchase technology platform integrated with the online stores ("Merchants") from which you buy ("Merchandise"). For Worry-Free Purchase, REVER acts as commercial distributor and is your primary point of contact for questions, support, cancellations, and for submitting and tracking claims.
The provider. The protection benefits under Worry-Free Purchase are an insurance-based product provided, underwritten, and adjudicated by Seel, Inc. ("Seel"), 8 California Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94111, United States. They determine coverage and approve or deny claims in accordance with the underlying policy and these Terms.
Your contract. These Terms form an agreement between you and REVER (acting as commercial distributor). They incorporate by reference the underlying coverage and underwriting terms set by the provider, which alone determines and bears the benefits, coverage, limits, and exclusions. REVER does not itself decide whether a claim is covered; coverage decisions are made by the provider.
Product name. Worry-Free Purchase may be offered and displayed to you under a store-specific commercial name — typically "[Merchant] Cover" (or a similar name shown at checkout and in your confirmation). Any such name refers to the same product governed by these Terms, with the same provider and commercial distributor and the same benefits, limits, and exclusions described here.
Not the Merchant. The Merchant from whom you bought your Merchandise sells you the goods, but is not authorised to file claims on your behalf and does not decide coverage. All claims must be filed by you through the REVER returns portal (Section 9).
2. DEFINITIONS
In these Terms:
"Claim" means a request for a refund or replacement arising from loss, theft, or damage of Merchandise covered by Worry-Free Delivery.
"Coverage Limit" / "Protection Limit" has the meaning in Section 6.
"Merchandise" means the eligible products you purchase from a Merchant for which Worry-Free Purchase is offered.
"Return Shipping" (or "RSI") means the optional benefit described in Section 8.
"Worry-Free Delivery" (or "WFD") means the benefit described in Section 5.
"Worry-Free Purchase" (or "WFP") means the bundled offering of Worry-Free Delivery and Return Shipping.
"You" / "Your" means the consumer who purchases Merchandise and Worry-Free Purchase.
3. WHAT WORRY-FREE PURCHASE IS
Worry-Free Purchase is an optional, add-on, insurance-based product that bundles:
- Worry-Free Delivery — a partial or full reimbursement if your covered Merchandise is lost, stolen (porch piracy), or damaged in connection with its shipment to you, subject to the scope, limits, and exclusions in Sections 5 and 6; and
- Return Shipping — coverage of the cost of the return shipping label provided by the provider and the related REVER return-handling service fee that you would otherwise pay, for eligible returns, as described in Section 8.
Where a given item is eligible for only one of the two benefits, the checkout widget will display and apply only the eligible benefit. The specific benefits included in your order are identified at checkout and confirmed in your purchase confirmation email/communication. Worry-Free Purchase may appear under your store's own commercial name (for example, "[Merchant] Cover"); regardless of the name shown, the product, provider, commercial distributor, and these Terms are the same.
4. FEES AND PRICING
The fee for Worry-Free Purchase is shown to you at checkout before you pay and is itemised in your order. The exact amount depends on factors such as the item and order, and is calculated automatically; the price displayed at the time of your purchase is the price that applies to your order. All fees are exclusive of any applicable VAT, Insurance Premium Tax, or equivalent transaction taxes, which are added and collected as required by law.
Fees may change from time to time, but any change only affects future purchases. For Merchandise purchased on a subscription basis, adding Worry-Free Purchase to an initial subscription order may add the corresponding fee to subsequent installments of that subscription, as disclosed at checkout.
5. WORRY-FREE DELIVERY — WHAT IS COVERED
If you purchase Worry-Free Delivery, you may request a partial or full refund where covered Merchandise is lost, stolen, or damaged in connection with its shipment to you. The provider determines, in accordance with the policy and these Terms, the refund amount due.
Damage. Items damaged in transit to the point of being unusable (for example, fractured, shattered, bent, or crushed) are covered up to the full item value paid. Cosmetic damage such as scratches or dents is not covered, and compensation may vary based on the severity of the damage. A partial refund may be offered where one item in a multi-item package is damaged but others are not.
Loss (non-delivery). Where Merchandise is presumed lost because it was never delivered and tracking does not show "delivered," compensation is the full item value paid, subject to the limits in Section 6.
Theft (porch piracy). Where a package is marked "delivered" by the carrier but was not received by you, valid cases are covered up to the full item value paid, subject to the limits in Section 6.
Coverage period. Worry-Free Delivery attaches from the time the covered goods commence transit (or are located anywhere incidental to transit) and continues during the ordinary course of transit until delivery at the final destination, or until your interest ceases, whichever occurs first.
Valuation. Covered goods are valued at the amount shown on your purchase invoice, excluding taxes, tariffs, and shipping charges.
Resolution options. Where a Claim is covered, the provider determines whether the Merchandise is refunded, replaced, or repaired, based on the arrangements with the Merchant and the availability of the Merchandise. Approved payouts are funded by the provider and paid to you, with REVER acting solely as the provider's paying agent in transmitting the provider's funds to your original payment method.
6. COVERAGE LIMITS AND EXCLUSIONS (WORRY-FREE DELIVERY)
Coverage limits. Worry-Free Delivery will not pay more than the following ("Protection Limit"):
- €5,000 for any one package or shipment; and
- €2,500 for any one package or shipment containing a laptop or tablet computer, mobile/smartphone, or smartwatch;
subject to an overall limit of €250,000 for any one conveyance per account. Shipments exceeding the applicable limit are paid only up to the relevant Protection Limit.
Excluded products. Without a specific written amendment from the provider, Worry-Free Delivery does not cover, by way of example: automobiles and motorcycles; glass windows, plate glass, and similar goods; jewellery (valued above €1,500); boats and yachts; live animals; cash; lumber; ceramic, marble, or granite tiles, slab blocks, countertops, or statues; negotiable papers; cigarettes and other tobacco products; perishable commodities; pharmaceutical drugs; precious stones and metals; fine arts (valued above €10,000 per piece); scrap metal; steel and steel products; flowers; raw cotton; automotive engines or used automotive metal merchandise; government action; shipping costs; and securities.
Policy exclusions. The underlying cover is a marine/cargo-type policy and excludes, among other things: Free of Capture and Seizure (FC&S); Strikes, Riots, and Civil Commotions (SR&CC); delay; and nuclear/radioactive perils, in each case as set out in the underlying policy.
Delay is not covered. Worry-Free Delivery does not pay for delay in delivery. Where a Merchant (or its carrier) fails to ship by the estimated shipment date provided at purchase, the Merchant is solely responsible for the delay. For a payout to arise under Worry-Free Delivery, a shipment must be lost or damaged (and therefore no longer deliverable), not merely delayed.
Fraud. The provider may refuse a refund or replacement where it reasonably determines that a Claim is fraudulent or otherwise not covered.
7. CANCELLATION OF WORRY-FREE PURCHASE AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Self-service cancellation. If you wish to cancel Worry-Free Purchase, you may do so using the self-service cancellation process before your order is fulfilled by the Merchant, or within 24 hours of placing your order, whichever occurs first. Once an order is marked as fulfilled by the Merchant, Worry-Free Purchase can no longer be cancelled. On valid cancellation, the Worry-Free Purchase fee is refunded.
Statutory withdrawal rights. The cancellation process above is in addition to, and does not limit, any mandatory right of withdrawal or cancellation you may have under EU/EEA or Spanish consumer law. Where such a statutory right applies, you may exercise it on the terms and within the periods provided by law, and we will not charge you beyond what the law permits. To exercise any statutory withdrawal right, contact us at support@itsrever.com.
8. RETURN SHIPPING — WHAT IS COVERED
If you purchase Return Shipping, it covers, for eligible returns, the cost of the return shipping label provided by the provider and the related return-handling fee that you would otherwise pay. Return Shipping applies only to returns actually processed for items eligible for the Return Shipping offer.
Eligibility exclusions. Return Shipping is not available for: (i) items designated final sale, non-returnable, or custom-made; (ii) hazardous materials or items prohibited by carriers; (iii) oversized or overweight items exceeding 50 lb (≈22.7 kg) in weight or 108 in (≈274 cm) in combined dimensions (length + width + height); or (iv) any other items determined ineligible by the provider. Final eligibility is determined by the provider.
9. HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM, AND REPORTING DEADLINES
Where to file. All Claims, and any return under Return Shipping, must be initiated by you through the REVER returns portal for your store, accessible from the link in your order/confirmation communications or from your store's returns page. The Merchant cannot file on your behalf. REVER receives and manages your request and transmits the relevant information to the provider, which adjudicates coverage.
Overall deadline. All Claims must be submitted no later than ninety (90) days following the order date, or within the shorter period specified below for the relevant Claim type.
Reporting windows by Claim type:
- Loss / non-delivery. Report no sooner than 30 days after the shipment date for domestic shipments, and no sooner than 60 days for international shipments (because the package must first be presumed lost). The Claim must still be filed within 90 days of the order date.
- Damage. Report no later than 7 days after the date the goods were marked "delivered" by the carrier.
- Theft / porch piracy. Report no later than 7 days after the date the goods were marked "delivered" by the carrier.
Merchant-specific terms. Specific requirements and timeframes may vary depending on arrangements between REVER, the provider, and individual Merchants. The terms applicable to your purchase are provided in your purchase confirmation and via the REVER returns portal.
10. CLAIMS HANDLING, SETTLEMENT, AND COOPERATION
No coverage representations by REVER. As commercial distributor, REVER will not, and is not authorised to, tell you whether a particular Claim is or is not covered; coverage decisions are made by the provider. REVER will communicate the decision to you and, for approved Claims, transmit the provider's payout to your original payment method as the provider's paying agent. The payout is funded by the provider, not by REVER.
Full settlement. Approval and payment of a Claim is in full and final settlement of all claims and demands by you relating to the Merchandise that is the subject of the Claim. In consideration of any claim payment, you release the provider, REVER, and their respective affiliates, officers, agents, and representatives from any further claims relating to that Merchandise.
Cooperation. You agree to cooperate and provide all documentation and information reasonably needed to evaluate and process a Claim (for example, order details, photos of damage, carrier information, and any declarations), and to do so honestly and promptly.
Subrogation / recovery. Where loss, theft, or damage occurs while the package is in the care of a carrier (e.g., a postal operator or courier), and a payment is made to you, the provider has the right to pursue recovery from the carrier or other responsible third party, and you agree to cooperate. Amounts recovered in respect of the subject Merchandise belong to the paying party. Acceptance of a claim payment does not prejudice rights that arise by virtue of that payment.
11. USE THE CLAIMS PROCESS FIRST (CHARGEBACKS)
If you experience a loss, theft, or damage covered by Worry-Free Purchase, you agree to file a Claim with REVER first and follow the claims process to its conclusion, rather than initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with your card provider for the same loss. If you initiate a chargeback for the same loss before the claims process concludes, the provider may, in lieu of any other compensation and in full satisfaction of its obligations, refund only the Worry-Free Purchase fee. This Section does not affect any mandatory chargeback or payment-dispute rights you have under applicable law or card-scheme rules.
12. DATA PROTECTION
REVER processes your personal data to administer Worry-Free Purchase, handle claims and payouts, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations, in accordance with the EU/UK GDPR and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). Personal data needed to adjudicate and pay Claims is shared with the provider and relevant service providers (such as carriers and payment providers). For details on how your data is collected, used, shared, retained, and on your rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority), see the REVER Privacy Policy at https://www.itsrever.com/en/privacy-policy. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact support@itsrever.com.
13. DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY
Worry-Free Purchase provides the benefits expressly described in these Terms and the underlying policy, and does not extend to any orders, shipments, or merchandise other than those for which the applicable fee has been paid.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and without excluding or limiting (a) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, (b) liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence:
- REVER's role is limited to the distribution and servicing of Worry-Free Purchase; these distribution services are provided on a reasonable-care basis, and REVER does not warrant that the platform or services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and REVER does not provide, underwrite, or bear the insurance cover, which is the provider's sole responsibility; and
- neither REVER nor the provider is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, arising from the services.
Nothing in this Section limits the cover actually provided under Worry-Free Delivery or Return Shipping, your statutory consumer rights, or your rights against the Merchant in respect of the Merchandise itself.
Force majeure. Neither REVER nor the provider is responsible for delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control (for example, acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemic, embargoes, fire, flood, accident, strikes, or carrier/transport failures), without prejudice to your mandatory consumer rights.
14. COMPLAINTS AND OUT-OF-COURT DISPUTE RESOLUTION
How to complain. If you are unhappy with Worry-Free Purchase, a claim outcome, or our service, please contact us first at support@itsrever.com so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within the timeframes required by applicable consumer-protection law. Where a complaint concerns a coverage or claims-adjudication decision, we will escalate it to the provider and relay their response.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR). If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may be entitled to refer the dispute to a competent out-of-court consumer dispute-resolution body, such as the Spanish consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or the consumer authorities of your place of residence. Using ADR does not affect your right to bring court proceedings.
15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of Spain. The underlying coverage and underwriting terms set by the provider may be governed by other law as stated in the policy; however, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of habitual residence in the EU/EEA or the UK.
Disputes may be brought before the competent courts of your place of residence, in accordance with applicable consumer-jurisdiction rules. Nothing in these Terms requires you to waive a trial, join class proceedings, or arbitrate in a manner inconsistent with your mandatory consumer rights.
16. GENERAL
Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The terms applicable to your purchase are those in force at the time you bought Worry-Free Purchase. Material changes affecting existing purchases will be notified to you as required by law.
Survival of purchased cover. If arrangements between REVER and the provider end, Worry-Free Purchase you have already purchased continues in force according to its terms.
Electronic communications. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically (for example, by email and through the REVER portal) and that such communications satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing, without affecting your statutory rights. Keep your contact details current; notices sent to the email you provided are effective when sent.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. REVER and the provider may assign or transfer their rights and obligations as part of a corporate reorganisation or transfer of business, without reducing your rights.
Severability and waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Entire agreement. These Terms (together with your purchase confirmation, the underlying policy terms referenced, and our Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and REVER regarding Worry-Free Purchase.
